Central Scotland Orthopaedics offers exceptional orthopaedic care at competitive rates. We welcome both self-paying patients and those with private health insurance.
We are pleased to work with most major health insurance providers. To ensure seamless coverage and avoid any unexpected costs, it is essential that you contact your health insurer prior to your first consultation and before each visit. Without being issues with an authorisation code from your insurer in advance, you may be responsible for covering the cost of your consultation and treatment yourself.
For self-paying patients, we provide transparent and affordable pricing for all consultations, treatments, and follow-up appointments. Self-funded patients don’t need to have a doctor’s referral letter to book a consultation.

Surgical procedures and treatments are changed individually. The cost of surgery is broken into 3 parts: the surgical fee, the anaesthetic fee and the facility (or hospital) fee.
Treatments such as steroid joint injections will also be charged at an additional cost, including the medical fee, facility fee, and the cost of the drug being injected. Ensure you understand these costs before proceeding.
Please contact our admin team for a specific quote for any surgical procedures or treatment.
We work with a number of imaging centres ensuring that you get the best quality imaging at low cost. X-rays can start from as little as £99, and MRI scans from £249. Imaging can often be arranged ahead of your clinic visit to save on unnecessary repeat journeys.
If you require investigations, such as blood tests, nerve conduction studies, or bone density scans, these will also be charged separately, so it’s important to be aware of the costs beforehand.
